Belly Casting!
The swelling of your belly and breasts is as much an emotional change as a physical one. Many women have conflicting feelings about this time. Making a cast of your belly celebrates what is beautiful and miraculous about your pregnant body.
In the privacy of your home, we will place plaster bandages across and around your belly and breasts. In just about 15 minutes the whole cast pops off. After allowing it to dry thoroughly (about 48 hours), we will decorate the cast. I have lots of fun craft materials. Don’t worry if you are “not an artist.” This is an expression of love toward yourself and your baby. You cannot go wrong.
The process of making art helps you document your thoughts and feelings about this unique yet universal experience. As your child grows, you will chreish your belly cast, remembering where your baby first slept curled up inside you.
